While there are a lot of dry cleaning businesses that outsource all of their cleaning, we do all of our own cleaning at our plant on 183 and McNeil and you can be assured that strict quality control measures are taken with every garment cleaned . Adam Dartez - Owner/Operations Manager
Adam was born and raised in Lafayette, LA. At the age of 13, Adam moved to the Austin Area. After graduating from McNeil High School in 1998, Adam attended Austin Community College before transferring to Stephen F. Austin University. Adam then finished his academic career at Texas State University studying Public Administration and minoring in Business. While attending Texas State, Adam owned an indoor advertising company and after attending Texas State he opened a restaurant in the food court of the Prime Outlet mall in San Marcos, TX. Adam eventually decided he wanted to pursue his entrepreneurial experience further in the Austin area and teamed up with an old friend from high school, Jeff Judy, and opened Austin Cleaners on the corner of McNeil and 183.
Jeff Judy - Owner/Company Director
A native Austinite, Jeff Judy has lived in the Austin area for the majority of his life. After growing up in the Rattan Creek area and graduating from McNeil High School in 1998, Jeff studied Management Information Systems at the University of Texas at Austin. After completing his B.B.A from UT, Jeff studied at Stanford University where he received a Master’s of Science in Management Science & Engineering. For the next two years Jeff worked in the Houston area as a financial analyst for an International Drilling Company. While working in the Houston area, Jeff got his first dose of entrepreneurialism when he helped in the formation of a family flooring business. After spending two years in Houston, Jeff decided to further his entrepreneurial knowledge and entered the MBA program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. After completion of his MBA, Jeff moved back to the Austin area and formed Austin Cleaners with Adam Dartez.
Juana Murguia - Plant Manager
Juana Murguia was born in Mexico and moved to the U.S. 23 years ago. Juana has 14 years in the laundry and dry cleaning business and has a commitment to quality work that is rarely matched in the industry. Juana worked for Cathy’s Cleaners and Alterations for 7 years and then worked for Tammy’s Cleaners for another five years. Juana’s commitment to excellence was so good that Tammy, of Tammy’s cleaners, started a partnership with Juana on Perfecto Cleaners where the two sold the business after two years. Juana is now Plant Manager for Austin Cleaners and the cornerstone of their quality work.
